Storage/Backup Engineer:
Provide product architecture design support and implementation for an Enterprise Backup and Data Management solution. Lead effort to develop a detailed technical design for Enterprise Backup implementation. The elements of the design will include: Infrastructure required to implement, Master Server and Media Server(s), Clients, Agents & Options, Media Manager Configuration, Storage Configuration, Volume Pools, SAN Access, Network & FirewallAccess, Storage Unit Definitions, Schedules, Policy Definitions, Capacity Verification, EMM, Catalog Backups and Security.Develop methods and strategy to minimize impact on customer and transition to operational teams. Complete technical projects related to help meet strategic business goals, client requirements and service levels.
Distributed Computing server or desktop experience and tech/team or project management experience desired. Experience in five or more of the following: Windows Server NT/2000/2003 & 2008, UNIX (Solaris), Linux, VMWare, Active Directory, DNS/WINS/NIS, CITRIX Presentation Server, IIS, and specific experience with Veritas NetBackup 4/5/6 and Veritas Cluster Server (VCS), Veritas Netbackup, Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas Volume Replicator, Veritas Enterprise Vault, Fiber Channel SANs and Brocade, or other SAN switches.
