Network Security Administrator
Role Overview: The Network Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment supporting the customer. Duties include: a) Analyze and interpret technical data; determine classification and security requirements b) Document technical information; engineering coordination; evaluate operational and technical alternatives; evaluate technical solutions; generate technical ideas c) Identify engineering and design problems; identify system and systemic level problems; perform technical research; plan, develop, and implement conceptual and technical solutions d) present technical information; requirements definition and analysis; risk assessment; system engineering; technical information exchange within and across organizations; technical writing; advanced troubleshooting skillse) Ensure the currency and relevancy of security appliances and provide life cycle supportf) Implement agents to monitor and report (in real-time) on the operation of security protective appliances
Requirements: a) 3 years experience as a LINUX System Administrator, b) Extensive experience supporting MS Windows andUNIX/LINUX based equipment, and c) Experience writing PERL scripts d) Thorough knowledge of networking protocols as well asextensive working knowledge of routers, firewalls, and networksecurity devices e) Working knowledge of presentation and graphics software;project management software; requirements analysis and trackingsoftware; spreadsheet software; systems/application check tools,virus scanning software; and word processing software
Additionally, the following is desired: a) Desired 6 years experience as LINUX System Administrator b) One of the following certificationsA+, Network+, Security+, SSCP, GSEC, SCNP,GSE, CISSP, SCNA, or CISA.
